Glory Missions Ministries
"But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." -- Acts 1:8
By God’s grace, active participation and prayer support of GCCSD members and many others, the missions ministry takes shape in the following active area:
- Bi-annual Missions conference aiming at raising mission awareness and building the theological foundation for mission ministries among GCCSD members
- Bi-annual Evangelistic meeting/Gospel Camp focusing on spreading the Gospel to the non-believers
- Local Evangelism and visitation through Evangelism Explosion program
- Annual community services such as Salvation Army Christmas Dinner Serving program and Samaritan’s Purse shoebox project
- Annual short-term missions trip to Ely and China
Besides the active missions, GCCSD continues to support missionaries all over the world who focus on cross-culture, cross-ethnic-boundary and cross-geographical-distance missions work.
Missionaries James and Antonia Hwang
Kenya
Both James and Antonia are from Taiwan. They have two children, Grace (11) and Timothy (8). James came to the United States for his graduate study in 1990, and completed his Master of Science in Computer Science and Ph.D. in Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Because of God’s love and grace, he became a Christian in 1991, and received God’s calling in 1995 that was just one year before he completed his Ph.D. degree. Later, he graduated and worked in San Francisco and Silicon Valley for about three years.
To respond God’s calling for cross-cultural ministry, since 1995 James and Antonia have prepared themselves in terms of ministry and theological training. In 1999 God opened the door; James resigned his job; both James and his wife Antonia began their fulltime seminary study. After earned the Master of Divinity from Overseas Theological Seminary in San Jose, in June 2004 Brother James also completed his Master of Theology at a Reformed seminary called International Theological Seminary in Los Angeles.

In addition to preaching, he also participates in Sunday school teaching, discipleship training, family counseling, and Mission Committee.
In 2003, both James and Antonia had been accepted as missionary candidates by Africa Inland Mission (AIM). In August 2004, their whole family goes to Kenya in East Africa and dedicates to the cross-cultural missions.
Rev. and Mrs. Ho
South Korea
In response to the calling from GO International for a missionary to Korea to head a Chinese seminary, Rev. and Mrs. Ho left Myanmar in October 2003. The seminary is a joint venture between GO International and Korean churches, trying to help 200,000 Chinese workers in South Korea. Rev. and Mrs. Ho are the teachers, Dean of Students, counselors, and drivers. They live with the students in the dorm, participate their activities, and often work with them until very late at night. There is a great need for your prayers so that they have extra physical and spiritual strength to help the students.
Besides ministry in Korea, Rev. Ho is also the Regional Director for Indo-China area supervising missionaries. From time to time he needs to visit the region to care for the missionaries and handle the businesses over there. Please pray that God grants him extra wisdom for all the work.

Rev. Gideon and Mrs. Mabel Wu
USA
Rev. Gideon and Mrs. Mabel Wu completed their five-year ministries in
Argentina in December 2001. In response to God’s calling, they continued their missions at an island called
Saipan.
Saipan is a small island with a population of 60 thousand. It’s located 300 kilometers north of
Guam. Being near the equator, it carries temperatures of 100
°F throughout the year. In between working hours, hundreds of Chinese women labors from the local factories take their breaks by the roadside, just like the picture in the Gospel “harassed and helpless, like sheep without a sheperd”. Rev. Gideon and Mrs. Mabel Wu’s ministries at
Saipan include preaching the Gospel and training believers.
